ACOUSTIRAP® removable insulation covers have a certified Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 55. The acoustical performance of removable covers is frequency dependent and increases with the frequency of the incident noise. Our unique design utilizing a double layer of septums separated by an air gap significantly increases acoustical performance, delivering up to 25 dBA of noise reduction in demanding industrial environments. ATC predicts the resulting noise level based upon engineering calculations and your complete noise spectrum.
The ACOUSTIRAP® system is tested for performance in explicit conformity with ASTM Designation E90-90 and E413-97 by U.S. Government-accredited Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories. Official test reports are available and provided with quotes upon request.
